The owner of a Knaphill cafe has been left overwhelmed by the generosity of kindhearted people after the eatery was left full of donations to help the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. Surrey restaurant working to help Turkish earthquake victims

A Surrey restaurant is working to raise funds following a devastating earthquake in Turkey. Almost 20,000 people have been confirmed dead after the 7.8 magnitude quake struck the country and neighbouring Syria on Monday, February 6.

More than 11,300 buildings are believed to have collapsed, with thousands of people injured and many more believed to be trapped beneath the rubble. A massive rescue effort is now underway to free anymore survivors buried beneath the ruins.

Surge in demand for coronation street parties expected in Woking

People in a Surrey town hoping to hold street parties to mark the Coronation of King Charles III are being urged to book road closures as soon as possible - due to an expected surge in demand. The coronation, the first since that of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, is set to see many people set to celebrate the event with neighbours.
